Savvas Virtual CTE Fair

When students embark on a Career & Technical Education track, they are beginning a journey of unlimited possibility. The skills they learn will prepare them not only for the careers of today, but for whatever exciting new careers are on the horizon in these fast-evolving fields. Savvas Learning Company invites students and teachers to join our Career and Technical Education Fair. Sessions feature a highly distinguished lineup of both industry and CTE experts who will share what it’s like to work in these fields, and the skills needed for success.

How It Works: Teachers register, then project the presentation for students. You will have access to all of the sessions for the entire day, so you can attend as many sessions as you’d like!

A special teachers-only session will be held later in the day for your convenience. Please note all sessions will be recorded and made available on-demand to all registered teachers.

1. Behind the Scenes of Making a Movie

– Ashley Maria will talk about how a director prepares to make the movie
during pre-production, how she works with her team on set to get the best shots and performances during production, and how a director and post-production team collaborate to get the film ready for the world to see.

2. Using the Power of Film to Encourage an Honest Dialogue about Ambition & Careers

• Why Ashley & Lea-Ann felt they had to make this film,
• How the film has become a catalyst for honest and meaningful conversations at schools around the world, and
