Last week, we urged supporters to open their wallets for #GivingTuesday, a day to raise funds for charitable causes — our movie specifically.
The funding propels Pioneers in Skirts far into post-production — which is THE most expensive part of making a documentary film.
We’ve been educating people on what it will take to complete the film. Today, we are at a point where we need to hire professional teams to help us take our rough cut over the finish line.

We recently made a grassroots attempt to raise funds to pay for color correction and graphic & title designs for the film.
The making of Pioneers in Skirts relies on generous donations from individuals like YOU. And, since we’re making a film that will positively impact our culture, we’d like to connect with philanthropic businesses who want to play a major role by funding or performing some of professional work efforts.
We went outside the box and made our “ask” in a Pioneers in Skirts Instagram Story — a pitch that was full of ‘behind the scenes’ of the film. It was huge hit!
If you’re unfamiliar with Instagram “stories,” they are connected pictures and/or 14-second videos posted throughout the day.

Sadly, we didn’t raise enough but it was a fun ride trying!
